Potty training has kind of turned us all into monsters over here. Not really but kind of. Bedtime is a joke. Wyatt keeps getting up saying he "has to go" and two drops come out. Sometimes he just wants to ask us if we will come get him when he wakes up or if we will be able to hear him. Sometimes he can't even come up with anything to ask us. It seriously takes about an hour to put him down. No lie! A once peaceful time is the most dreaded time now.
It actually has gotten better now that we take away his two alloted cars by his bed or his stuffed animals if he comes to get us and he doesn't really have to go. Call us mean but it works. The other night I came home and I saw 5 things on the ledge outside of his room. It just made me laugh but in all seriousness I was glad it wasn't me putting him to bed that night. Thanks, Jason.
One funny story that is blog worthy:
Jason was putting him to bed one night. After several, "Daddy? Daddys?" were said, Jason went in and took cars away. Jason said, "Go to bed and don't say Daddy anymore unless you REALLY have to go potty." Well, all of a sudden we heard a "Jason? Jason?" from the hum of the monitor. We both were laughing so hard that it was difficult to get mad at the kid.
At least we know he is smart.

Big Announcement!

We have an announcement. We are expecting twins come early June. We have every emotion in the book:
excited, thrilled, happy, relieved, etc.
but are also feeling
scared, incapable, fearful, and "how the crap are we going to do this?"
Okay, that last one might just be mine. I keep calling my friends with twins and wonder how they do it. I guess baptism by fire is the only way to truly learn. I just can't fathom how I'm going to carry two newborns up and down the stairs. Or don't even get me started on sleep training or feeding them. Shoot me now!
No, really, with our fertility problems, twins is a blessing. It might be really difficult at times but it will all be worth it to be able to add to our family.
Double the blessings. Double the joys.
