I don't spank. Not that I think it's bad but I just have never spanked Wyatt. Wyatt is a Love and Logic kid through and through. When I'm calm he responds but if I raise my voice he either thinks it's funny or responds worse. So hopefully he keeps me in check because sometimes with these hormones a raging it's hard to stay calm.
But remember the other day when I was mad? I wanted to spank.
Me: Wyatt, do you need a spanking?
Wyatt: as he is running over to me he said, "Okay!"
Me: it's going to hurt
Wyatt: I'll be tough
Needless to say I didn't spank because how could I?

Just one of them days
Reality has hit! I think the whole twin/baby thing is starting to affect Wyatt.
He LOVES playing with his siblings, making them laugh, getting their binkies, pushing the swing, and singing them songs. But he HATES when they disrupt our playtime together. It's kind of cute because when we are playing and he hears a baby cry, he will say, " Mom, stay here. I'll be right back." He proceeds to put a binkie in a mouth or push a swing to and fro.
Well, the other morning was not the case. It started off great with a movie while I got ready and fed babies. Then he was playing really well by himself after breakfast.
But then the tantrums started. Little by little he fell apart.
It was over stupid things. Like his car wasn't moving like it should (many over this) and I can't even remember the rest because there were so many.
Welcome to my new chaos.
We were both so frustrated with each other. The thing that threw me through a loop was that the babies were asleep and I was playing with him. Go figure! I've really tried to use the babies sleep time to focus on Wyatt instead of getting anything done but today was a
bomb!
We had a talk after I calmed down and we both promised to be better. I can't say that the promise was kept because tantrums still came but in public this time.
I wonder if it will get easier or if I just get used to chaos and learn to deal
with it.

Don't believe what you see
Everyone always says I'm making them look bad when they see me. Yes, I shower and get dressed including accessories. I also put on make-up and do my hair. Before getting ready, I exercised. It is my happy hour. I do all this to keep sane.
But I have to admit I don't do everything. Besides taking care of the kids, that's all I do. Exercise, get ready, kids. I feel like my wifely duties are not up to par (even though I'm still trying to be fascinating). Ha!
I have someone that comes cleans my house for now so I'm not spending any time deep cleaning. Sure I pick up, clean a few messes here and there, and do laundry but that's it. What little time I have in between baby care I want to spend with Wyatt.
Also the twins are five weeks old
And I've only made dinner maybe 4 times. We have gotten take out a few times and gone out but we have been blessed with lots of meals.
Another perk is that SO many family and friends have taken Wyatt for playdates. This is the best! It keeps him busy and happy which puts a smile on my face. Some days we
get "mad" at each other so it really helps us from strangling each other.
So there you have it. Please do not think I have it all together. It's all a facade. I'm still trying to figure life with three kids and a husband out while being somewhat sleep deprived. Who knows, I may never figure it out! :)

Tis the Season
In Exclesiastes 3:1 it states:
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
A time for less sleep (but I actually think I get more now then when I was pregnant).
A time to watch a lot of Disney movies or the same ones over and over.
A time to be more home bound
A time to let people serve
A time for schedules to be thrown out the window
A time to play with the iPad.
A time to be out of shape
A time to cuddle
A time to laugh even if everyone is crying
A time to enjoy
A time to love.
I need to remember that this summer is just a season and that it's okay to let go of some things and just breath.

One month down
The twins are one month old. One sleepless night after another I feel like it's been longer but at the same time I can't believe it's been a month already. They really do grow up so fast.
Elizabeth
I love how you keep one eye open when I'm holding you when you are fussy just to make sure I don't put you down. I always feel bad during the night when I have to wake you up because your brother is hungry earlier but you take it in stride, eat, then return to your slumber. I love dressing you in different outfits and bows (when I remember). You are our little princess.
Liam
You make the best faces while eating that it makes me laugh. You are my day sleeper and take awesome naps but are always the first to wake up at night. You love to snuggle with anyone.
Your brother loves to smother you both with kisses and begs to hold you. Daddy loves you both so much that he is willing to take the late night/fussy time shift even when pure exhaustion has set in.
We all love you both to pieces!
Happy one month!

Not your normal Father's Day
In preparation to celebrate Father's Day, I asked Jason in May what he would like so I could order it online because in my state (pregnancy and with newborns) going to the store probably wouldn't happen. Well, he never told me anything so needless to say online orders were never made.
Then the Saturday before the special day I sent Jason shopping for his gift. In my defense he needed new work clothes and he likes to buy those himself so I considered myself off the hook.
Come Sunday morning I had good intentions to make breakfast but midway thru cooking it motherly duties
called so Jason finished it up. Luckily we had family dinner plans so the whole day wasn't ruined.
People say dads have a special day every day. I disagree. I think dads do a lot more than we/I give them credit for. They work all day, come home to chaos, and are expected to feed kids, change diapers, play with older kids, bathe and put kids to bed, and help with night shift during fussy time. No, you can't relax! Ha!
Even though this Father's Day was forgettable we think the world of our husband and daddy who deserves more than just a day. We love you, Jason!

Newborn pics
My friend, Leanna, from Urban Country Photography took these sweet newborn pictures of Liam and Elizabeth. I would show you some of my favorites if I could find them on my computer. As for now, just go to her site and check some out. I'll post soon....hopefully.

Bums and bathrooms
Wyatt has finally learned how to stand up to go to the bathroom. Okay, I told him that Daddy was going to have to practice with him and ever since then he LOVES going to the bathroom by himself.
But unfortunately, now I'm sure I'll get pee everywhere around the toilet and have that yucky bathroom smell. Good thing I pinned this from Pinterest the other day via askannamosely.com. Ha!
Ill be honest, it is just too cute to see his cute little bum standing there. I sure wish I could get a picture but I must "respect his privacy." :)

First day of my new chaotic life
Jason went back to work yesterday so I felt like I was taking a test. A test to see if I could handle the chaos that would be guiding the rest of my life.
First off, the twins slept well. They went 4-4 1/2 hrs then 3 hours in-between feedings. Whenever they give me a four hour stretch I love them oh so much more. :) I always feel "refreshed" those days. The last feeding was at 5 so by the time I finished everything it was about 545 am.
I decided to go walking because Jason would need to leave for work soon. I walked for 3 miles and it was the best. My happy hour! I came home and Wyatt was up early and in a bad mood already.
It was going to be a LONG day.
I started getting ready but everyone was demanding this or that. The babies were hungry, Wyatt needed this, and I was trying to get some clothes on. By the time I started feeding the twins I was half dressed and dripping sweat. I told Wyatt if he was a good helper all day he could get a prize when Daddy got home.
Things started to turn around. Bribery does work and I'm not afraid to use it....for now. Thanks to Grandma Kathy for leaving a few extra prizes to use on days like this.
Wyatt got dressed and did his upstairs chores and played a bit with toys while I fed babies. He even brushed his own teeth-now that's big! At 830 we went downstairs and Wyatt was already asking to watch a movie after watching a show (or maybe two). Apparently, I'm that boring.
Luckily, my friend text me and offered to take Wyatt for a few hours. Hallelujah! She saved the day. I told Wyatt he was going to Jovie's house and before I could finish the sentence he had his shoes on, breakfast scarfed, and the door open waiting for them to come.
The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. The babies slept and ate a lot, I finished getting ready, did the laundry, sneaked in lunch, welcomed home Wyatt, and everyone took a nap-well I only got 20 minutes but I'll take it. The babies are pretty gassy so they will take turns trying to get it all out.
Wyatt got to watch his movie after quiet time and then Daddy got home. Wyatt had earned his keep by fetching things for me and putting binkies in babies' mouths. So when Daddy got home he got his prize....a dragon.
Luckily, we had tons of leftovers from dinners people had brought us so that was on the menu. We had FHE, played with the animals, and got ready for bed.
It was crazy but I'd call it a success. The true test will be today and tomorrow since Jason left town for a night. I have made plans for Wyatt every day this week so I hope he doesn't feel bad that I ship him away every day. Lol. Who am I kidding? He gets to play with cousins everyday so I'm sure he is in heaven (we are so lucky to have fabulous sisters/SILs that are willing to take Wyatt). THANK YOU!!!
Sometimes you just have to look back at your life and just laugh. I sure hope
I pass this whole parenting test.

Two weeks in
Life couldn't be better. Well, besides one of our AC units breaking the other night. Of course, it was the one where all the kids sleep (that was weird to say...all the kids). Luckily, my SIL was willing to take Wyatt in for the night so not everyone would be up all night. :) It
is now fixed so hopefully EVERYONE sleeps well tonight.
We went to the dr this week and here were the stats:
Liam
Height-19"
Weight-5lbs. 14oz.
Head- 14"
Elizabeth
Height-19.5"
Weight-7 lbs
Head- 14"
Both babes gained 5 oz. from their birthweight. Hooray! I've decided I need to hire a babysitter each time I go to the dr because that wears me out. I already invited Grandma Kathy back in two months for the next appointment. :)
Both babes are eating and sleeping well. They figured out night and day so that helps when they go back to sleep after eating at night. During the day one usually takes a little longer to go to sleep....usually Elizabeth. She tends to be a bit gasier (spelling?). She also loves to be held A LOT!
We are having fun and love these babes so much already.

Ninjago Power
Spinning around with arms out while yelling, "Ninja.....GO!" (Enja...Go! if you are Wyatt) is a common practice around here. So is pretending to be the red, white, blue, green, or black ninja with their special powers. Well, I decided to make good use of the Ninjago power.
Since potty training Wyatt, he had grown accustomed to someone being in the bathroom with him while doing his duty. We started bribing him to go by himself with two starbursts, etc. it was hit or miss. As I grew bigger with the pregnancy, so did the need for him to go to the bathroom alone. Plus, I kept warning him when the babies came he would have to do it himself because most likely I'd be feeding one.
Enter sticker chart. Why did I not think of it sooner?
Everytime Wyatt went by himself he would get a sticker which would be one step closer towards.........
"ENJA UNDERWEAR!"
The long awaited day finally came. This kid was so excited. He kept putting each underwear on for five minutes then move onto the next pair. And I haven't been in the bathroom with him since. BEST PART EVER!!!
Already plotting next sticker chart because Ninjago pajamas are on their way.

Watch out Stacey and Clinton!
I'm having way too much fun dressing these twins. Here are some recent outfit pics. I keep forgetting the bow. I think I need a spot downstairs for all the accessories. :)
