Brothers

These two starting sharing a room a few months ago. It has been so fun to see their relationship blossom. Liam and Elizabeth have the special twin bond but I'm slowly seeing the brother bond become just as strong. I'm loving every second of it.

The other night I was tucking the boys in bed. I was scratching Wyatt's back and Liam was playing with on of the various toys in his bed (there's too many in there). I had tuned Liam out but then Liam made his dinosaur make a sound. Wyatt turned his head up to me and said, "Welcome to my world!" Haha! Liam may wake up early and push Wyatt's buttons sometimes but these two sure love sharing a room.

Liam

Liam is a one of a kind kid. He is obsessed with wearing "game" shorts and shirts. He wants to do everything his brother does. But he beats to his own drum most definitely. And throws a good tantrum every now and then. Wyatt drew this picture of Liam and it was perfect that I had to document it.

The "Reading Time" Chair

This chair was my dad's. I inherited it and used it for many years while I taught school. Jason has since used it for his office chair. But over the weekend he bought a new one that fits him much better. Well, Wyatt has decided he needed this chair in his room much to my opposition.

I told him we were getting rid of it because there just isn't enough room. He left without a fight but came back and he said I needed to come to his room ASAP.

I came up and he said, "Mom, I need this chair because it is my reading chair. Can't you see the sign?"

Can't argue with that!

K stands for Circle K

Recently I've noticed Elizabeth and Liam don't know their letters at all but apparently we've got the colors down (thanks to nail polish and gummy bears). So we've spent some time the past few weeks working on our letters. The twins LOVE it!

Elizabeth had the letter K and I was saying a few words that start with K to help her hear the sound. She put the letter on her magnetic board and said, "Mom, it's like the letter on Circle K."

We start them young around here.

Looking in mirror

Wherever this girl goes she is always looking in the mirror! She is so my child that it's not even funny.

"Oh my gosh" and "so cute"

Everytime Liam is surprised at something he exclaims really loudly, "Oh my goooosh!" The -sh is pretty quiet so I often finding myself crossing my fingers that he says it. Haha. It is absolutely adorable.

And speaking of adorable, whenever Liam sees a stuffed or real animal he starts to get a high pitched voice and says, "How cute!" I've tried to get on camera but it just never works out. I never want to forget "how cute" my little Liam is.

Born to be a mom!

This little girl was born to be a mom! She is so cute with all her dolls. She is always changing someone's diaper or taking them on a walk in the stroller. And if one is asleep we all know it. Not sure where she got that one. Haha!

The other day Elizabeth was bossing Wyatt around. I told her to take care of Elizabeth and that I would be Wyatt's mom. Wyatt said, "Yeah, because you are not a mom!" I knew by the look on her little face that she was hurt by that comment. Before I saw tears I knew exactly why. She thrives on being the best mommy and for someone to say she wasn't a mom was an insult. We calmed her down and told her she was a good mommy but that I needed to regulate when Wyatt went to time out.

Another thing that I've been thinking about is that I'm her example of how to be a mom. Scary thought indeed! But something that will always stick with me is one time Wyatt was sad. I was hugging him and rubbing his back. After I got up, Elizabeth rubbed his back and kept asking if he was alright. Wyatt ate that up but it made me want to be a better mom because I have a little shadow that is learning the tricks of the trade from me. Good thing motherhood comes naturally for her.

Christmas 2014

Wyatt turns 6

Wyatt went and turned 6 on us!  He had a fun party at Flipside which was worth every penny in my eyes.  We sure love our Wy Guy!
