Got Hot Cheetos?

My students do! We had our first party of the year. Normally I don't allow Hot Cheetos anywhere near my classroom because they get all over the floor (plus I don't like them). I gave in and said that we could test it out, but there was one rule. The rule was that I didn't want everyone to bring them. I assigned certain people to bring plates, cups, drinks, etc. Everyone else was supposed to bring something like chips or dessert if they were planning on eating. You decide if they followed the rule.

I also told my students that if they were interested in being on the Party Committee to get together at recess and plan some games. I had three people who got together. Their games were adorable. Two girls made a pumpkin and played Pin the Stem on the Pumpkin. Another kid asked me if he could play this certain game a week before Halloween. He described it to me and I was really interested in finding out how it would turn out. It was the cutest game ever! It was similar to a cakewalk. He had paper plates with Halloween pictures on it that he had drawn and colored with numbers. He used my Halloween party music and would start and stop it while the other students walked around. He drew a number. That person even got a prize (that he brought). It was so cute that he was so into it. It's amazing how creative kids can be! I forgot to take pictures until the end of the day, so only a few students stayed for a picture.

P.S. The girl on the left told me that she was "kind of" me for Halloween. She said, "I'm Queen Elizabeth I." I tease my students that I am Elizabeth Winsor the Third (my middle name is Elizabeth). Also the girl in the yellow dress is not Belle. She did have a blonde wig. Can you guess whom she is? Drumroll........ Princess Di.
