This summer has been different than the rest so far. I used to clean, bask in the sun, shower, then run errands. By the time I was done with all that Jason would be on his way home and I'd be making dinner. Even when Wyatt entered the picture things didn't change that much. I still did all of the above. But this summer has been different.
We have been pretty busy with the move. We go to Target, Walmart, or any other store of my choice (Jason goes to Lowe's) probably every day searching for the right this or that. Or we have to stay at home waiting for this guy or that guy to come give us a quote on whatever we need that week. My house is still a mess but whatever. I'm not in my groove yet with my "schedule." I decided that I need to relax a bit and enjoy the summer more.
Granted we still go out and do lots of fun things because we both need to be entertained. I know it is just the beginning of the summer so for that I am grateful so I have time to just enjoy it all.
We still go to Kid's Club every Thursday. What would we do without that? Seriously, I think I like it more than Wyatt. Except that this past Thursday I think it has been the most that Wyatt has liked it. He actually stayed attentive the entire singing time-danced, clapped his hands, walked around, etc. Plus, he even played in the playplace and didn't try to escape to the cars. Maybe it is because we played in the cars first!
We attend Harkin's Summer Movie Fun. Okay, this might be Wyatt's new favorite thing. He just sits and eats popcorn, drinks pop, and laughs at the movie. He is totally laughing in this picture. Not the greatest but I think it is adorable. He laughs after I laugh, after other kids laugh, and other parts he thinks is funny. So he is laughing through the entire movie. It's so cute!

Wyatt and I have only gone to the pool once, maybe twice this summer. So not our style but we are without a community pool. Boo! So, Jason and I went and bought a cheap pool to act as our pool for now. You would have thought Wyatt died and went to heaven! He loved it. And I loved it too actually because I didn't have to worry about him falling in the deep end and I was able to be a bathing beauty while he played.

We have also enjoyed trips to yogurt shops and visits from the ice cream truck. What's a summer without that? And plenty of cousin time too. I guess we have had plenty to do but maybe I'm complaining because I'm whiter than white and need/should be at the pool every day. :) We are so excited for our upcoming summer trips this year. We can't wait!
So, here's to enjoying every minute of summer!

Kate I really have to read your blog now that you have moved away and I don't get to see you all the time. We need to head to Chick-fil-a for lunch. I want to come and see your house.
Still sounds like a fun summer to me!! Love the laughing stories at the movies!! What a cute little guy.
