Newport Beach 2012 Highlights

Another week at the beach has come and gone. Some people thought we were out of our minds taking newborn twins but I would do it again in a heartbeat if I had the chance.

Here were the highlights:

-CARS Land
Disney keeps fueling Wyatt's CARS obsession by building a whole place dedicated to the movie. Wyatt was BEYOND excited to go. He had lots of fun even though his mommy was stuck at the beach house with no car or phone. Definitely a low light for me but glad everyone had fun. Ha!

-Playing with Daddy
This was another favorite to see for all of us. Jason and Wyatt spent a lot of time on the beach and in the waves together. They couldn't get enough of each other.

-Light and Talent shows
Who needs America's Got Talent when our family is full of extroverts? Everyone wanted a little piece of stardom. Not to mention fireworks on the 4th. We had our own show fully equipped with glowstick figures and whips. Even other little kids wanted to "steal the show."

-Beach time
Believe it or not I got to enjoy the beach a lot too. Thanks to Grandma Kathy and Jason for watching the twins. My mom didn't want me having postpartum depression. How could I turn that down? :)

-Nursing
I really enjoyed nursing this trip. Often times as I sat down someone would come in our beach house to keep me company. I kind of felt like Snow White. Most of the time it was my two little nieces that would magically appear when feeding began. It's like they had a sixth sense for nursing babies.

-Being Interviewed
We attended a Family Friendly 4th of July party. I was interviewed by the news to compare this event to the "lots of skin and alcohol" that is seen on the boardwalk. The best part was being seen in all my postpartum glory while being post workout. Needless to say I looked HOT!

-Family and Cousin Time
Our favorite part was spending time with family. I rarely saw Wyatt the entire week. If I went out on the sand to see what he wanted for lunch I was told to go back in the beach house. He was afraid I would ruin the fun. Jason and I had fun getting to know the adults better by talking and laughing.

Once again another successful year at the beach!
