The Gilbert Temple Dedication was amazing! We went to the first session but I heard every session was just as great. It was so fun to see the prophet finish the construction of the temple then hear him speak prophetically.
I also loved hearing the story about Bro. Harold Wright who made preparations for people who traveled from Guatemala to the Mesa Temple to eat, stay, and do temple work. Truly inspiring.
One thing I will always remember of that week was a few days after the dedication. I was making a trip to Costco and of course the twins start yelling "Emple! Emple!" as soon as their little eyes spot the big, white building. Liam's whole body tightened and burst with excitement where I almost thought his whole face would explode. He yelled, "EMPLE!!!!" As I turned right passing the temple, I could totally feel something different than ever before at that corner. The Spirit definitely was radiating from the newly dedicated temple. There was no denying that this was the House of The Lord.
We sure love living so close to the temple.
