So, two years ago, we moved into our new house. I had envisioned great things for our bathroom. Jason thought I was crazy to worry about our kitchen and our bathroom. I told him that there wasn't a whole lot of things I could do with our front room until we got certain things and got rid of certain things, so I decided to work on the other rooms. Well, the kitchen was finished first and now....drum roll...the bathroom is FINALLY done. I owe it all to my bartering talent.
Many years ago, we would take trips down south to Tijuana. That is where the art of bartering became a special talent of mine. Well, last weekend I was out shopping for decorating ideas and came upon this furniture store that wasn't even open to the public yet. I saw the doors were open so I asked if I could come in and look around. He told me that the prices on the pieces were not the actual prices but to ask him how much it would be. The price tag said $300 but he told me a little above $200. I told him I would most likely buy it if I could have it for $150. Well, I called Hans a few days later and he said he would give it to me for $150 plus tax. All of those trips to Tijuana paid off!
So, here it is: (by the way...it is a Polynesian theme if you can't see the connection) I am 100% Samoan for those who don't already know. :)
