Today is my first "real" day of summer as my mom and Jason called it this morning. I've accomplished many things on my list and the day isn't even over yet. My week of playing mommy came to a close yesterday. I wanted to jot down some things that we did and some funny things that I couldn't help but laugh about. (I think I'm going through Danny and EJ withdrawals but good thing they live close so I can go hang out once in awhile.)
First we went to the zoo with Grandma. She became a member so we got tons of coupons and we used them...the boats, train ride, and frozen lemonades.
Next, we went to the movies! They have the summer movie pass. We saw the movie, The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything. It was a cute show. The boys loved eating candy and watching the movie on the big screen.
Then, we went to San Tan Village and played on the playground and got a bite to eat at the food court.

We made 3D models, swam every day while Danny was taking his nap, made every meal, went for bike rides, went jogging with jogging stroller (very difficult I might add), had dance parties, and explored many parks in Power Ranch.

Here are a few funny things that happened (mainly for my memory sake): most of these things are Dannyisms
-I was counting down for Elias to do something. I said, "5." Danny immediately said, "6." EJ and I just looked at each other and started laughing.
-Danny loved eating fruit. He would say, "I just love flute! Can I have some more flute?" He even called me his flend (friend).
-The DVD player wasn't working so they didn't get to watch any movies. One night, mid week, during prayers Danny said, "Please bless I see a show." I lost it!
-Danny's "ouwie"
-going to church with them (the church bag????)
-stealing Danny's nose
-bike rides
-walks
-parks
-music time at Kate's house (aka Kareoke to HSM)...we also sang songs while I played the piano and they played other instruments that we brought over.
-swimming
-reading stories
-having to discipline
-hugs from Danny
-tickle tortures at bedtime
and last but not least....
-when EVERYONE had quiet time!!!!! (aka check my email time)

you have good disciplining skills - teacher! I have seen you in action.
Seriously sometimes 3 in the morning is the only time you have to yourself!
Cute pictures! Looks like they had fun. That's a bummer about the DVD player. My kids would be highly disappointed too.
