I actually didn't vote today. I voted a few weeks ago thanks to mail in ballots (genious idea!). I hated standing in line for the primaries so I made sure I requested an early ballot. Please go out and vote today! I'm proud to be an American, aren't you?
As a side note, a few days ago Jason and I were discussing the events for this upcoming week. We went through day by day to coordinate schedules, etc. Now if you are not aware, my husband is a political junkie. He loves watching national news (all the time!!) and has even got me watching it every now and then. I used to be not much of a voter, only every 4 years for Presidential elections, but now I study the issues and vote. Anyway, back to J, he informed me that he would be watching the returns from 5 pm-midnight tonight! I know we are all anticipating what our country will do but 7 hours of watching it! Holy cow! I thought it was so funny how he told me that was in his plans. (Of course, I already knew that was what we would be doing.)
(Does that mean I still have to make dinner? I mean...if he is busy and all watching election coverage, is he too busy to eat? lol)

Ben and I voted early too. So glad that is out of the way. I have become a very big political junkie the last 6 months too. I am looking forward to tonight too, but I am planning on watching from more like 8pm - until a few hours after final decision is made. I love the national news especially cnn and now I feel like I have become addicted to it so I am glad to start becoming normal again and not caring so much about politics.
Um, take-out food always bides well with a seat in front of the television. :) I can recommend some chinese that delivers to our area if you're interested!
By the way when I saw you at Stake Conference I wanted to tell you how adorable you are, but I bolted as soon as the prayer was over b/c my nose was running like Niagara Falls. AND when I saw you I realized I totally missed your shower, which I knew I would b/c Jarad has meetings on Tuesday nights. But I do have a gift for baby boy. I'll swing it by one of these days.
We've been ordering pizza for every debate. I guess I should stick to tradition so I can sit on the couch all night. Kimball is always at martial arts with the boys so it's usually me and a friend or neighbor...and the pizza.
I think "political junkie" may be an understatement for the Jason I know and love! We certainly watched our fair share of CNN/Fox News/etc. during our BYU time--as long as it didn't conflict with Simpsons/Seinfeld TV Hour. (Few things were more sacred than that) But I have to admit--I got home at 6 on election night and watched the returns up to about midnight too.
