Kick off to Christmas!

This year our 24 days of Christmas started early. Last Sunday we went to see the lights at the Mesa Temple with Jason's brother. It was Wyatt's first Temple Lights visit and he was enthralled. Wait until he sees Temple Square in Salt Lake in a few weeks. He will be in heaven! It was the best way to kick off our Christmas season to feel the Spirit of the true meaning of Christmas.

I saw on a friend's blog that she was going to do something fun every day with her son. So, I'm a copycat and decided that we are doing that too. Here is the list of things we have planned for the rest of December:

- Set up Nativity- talk about true meaning of Christmas
- Sing carols around the tree with guitar
- Walk around the mall and window shop
- Jason’s Work Christmas Party
- send Christmas cards out
- Drive around and look at Christmas lights (we do this every Sunday in December...a tradition started back when Jason and I got married)
- Ornament FHE
-Hang mistletoe and kiss
-Donate food to food bank or secret santa
-Make treats for neighbors
-Christmas movie with popcorn/hot chocolate
-Picture with Santa
-Drive around and look at Christmas lights
-Watch Christmas movie for FHE or read Christmas story
- buy Christmas Eve pajamas
-Take change to Salvation Army buckets
- Play at Santa's present playground
- buy Christmas socks and wear them
-Friends' Christmas Party
-Church Family Christmas Party
-call grandparents and sing Christmas carols to them
-Temple Square
-play in snow/skiing
-Dress like Elves and deliver gifts/Pajamas
-Nativity

What a cute idea! I'm still in the mind set of "Emma won't know the difference..." - but she'll probably be 15 and I'll still be saying that, so I should probably get off my rump and do something. :) Anyway, congrats on the AWESOME Turkey Trot and success with Race Day. I'm really proud of you.
