Stress, Schedules, and Chores, Oh My!

Now that summer is winding down so are our vacations. We went to Prescott to escape the heat one last time before blessed Fall comes rollin' in (hopefully sooner than later). Doesn't this Hot Dog on a Stick hat remind you of Fall? Okay, I know that is a stretch but I'm seriously considering wearing it for my Halloween costume so it does to me or maybe I'm just wishing Fall would get here soon.
Here is what has been going on in our lives:

Jason has been extremely busy and stressed at work. A lot of things have been going on and it has been difficult for Jason to see it all happen. It's been quite an emotional rollercoaster for his coworkers and himself. Hopefully things all work out for everyone's favor. But despite all of this he still comes home and is the best husband and dad ever. Wyatt is literally obsessed with his dad. On his spare time, Jason teaches at UOP. This is his third class and each one gets more interesting. I love hearing about his students. It reminds me of my teaching days and I just have to laugh at it all.

As for myself, I have jumped back into the swing of things again. I am back on my schedule and routine and am loving every minute of it. I am continuing to save more than I spend (well, at least on groceries), and love shopping for items for our house. I get stressed out about decorating because I am non bueno at it. I look at design blogs and see other people's houses and think, "Mine will never compare." It makes decorating a little more stressful, as if it wasn't stressful enough. Plus my little shadow follows me everywhere and is so fun! Honestly, he makes me laugh (and have patience) every single day.

Wyatt is the happiest of the bunch! He is loving his new playroom and has learned to climb on just about everything but thankfully he hasn't learned how to climb out of the crib. He stays busy following me around but I make sure he is included in the work. Wyatt has to do chores every day. Besides brushing his teeth and getting dressed, he helps me vacuum and empty the dishwasher. He has gotten pretty good at it too. One by one the silverware goes from the dishwasher to the drawer. When all the silverware is put away he runs off to play....for at least a few minutes anyway before he comes looking for me for another job. :)

Wow, I forgot that I had private blogs and haven't looked at them for over two months. I can't believe Wyatt is talking so much. Fun that he likes church. My kids hate it and it is hard to drag them to church each week. I hope he keeps up the good attitude.

I like your playroom. Looking good.
