Whether he knows it or not, Wyatt and I have school time every day. Well, lately I have been making a big deal of it being "school" time so he could have certain privileges later. Wyatt sat through numbers and letters very cooperatively. We sounded out the letters and said words that started with each letter. We usually sing the ABC song after we do the puzzle, magnets, or read a book where the whole alphabet is shown but I wouldn't say it is too frequent. When I say 'we' I mean 'I' usually sing the song.
But not this time.
I asked Wyatt to sing the song with me just on a whim. I didn't think he would actually know it or sing along. Guess what? He knew it! And he can actually sing it by himself. He has been holding back. My heart leaped with excitement.
But then the real kicker. I was asking him about his church class and what they did. He told me he sang songs. I asked him what songs he sang and he said, "Child of God." We both started singing it and come to find out he knew the words to that song as well.

Isn't that such a rewarding moment? When you realize all your hard work has actually paid off? Great job mama!
