No, nothing bad has happened to us...not yet. I am soooooooooooooo sad because today is my last day of freedom. I go back to work tomorrow so that can only mean one thing, a 5 AM wake up call. I'm dreading it with every fiber of my being. I have enjoyed this restful summer and don't want to return to the days of being trapped inside a classroom. I really do love my job and am excited to start a new year. Just the thought of leaving summer behind in a cloud of dust just rips my heart out while most people still get to enjoy it. Well, I better stop blogging and get out to the pool for my last day to relax. Be thinking of me tomorrow putting up bulletin boards and making copies for those little ones who will soon be saying, "Mrs. Winsor" a little too often and telling me all about their summer vacation!

I can't believe that school already starts for you - it is only the middle of July!!! What school district starts back so early? We hope you enjoyed your last day of freedom.
You are so funny Kate. Don't worry though, September will be here before you know it and you will get to go on your vacation. Cheer up!!
I'm so sad for you Kate. That really is quite depressing. I still have another month of freedom and I'm already morning the loss of my freedom. If only it were summer all the time (but not summer weather).
Oh Kate, you are wonderful. That must be so hard to be going back already. Teachers do not get paid enough, and they SURELY do not get enough breaks! And here I am WISHING for my summer to be over soon because that means that I can send my bored children to school.
Hope your first day back went well. Good luck with this year of school. I know from my mom what a hard life it is for school teachers, but teachers are the best.
