Memorial Weekend 2009

This past weekend we went up to the Winsor's cabin in Prescott. This just happened to be Wyatt's first road trip. He did such a great job. We thought he would cry and cry on the ride up because he needed to take a nap but he just went right to sleep. Maybe it's because he had a friend in the backseat. Thanks to Grandma Winsor for keeping him company.

We had such a great time. Wyatt took great naps and slept well in his inaugural use of his pack n play. Some mornings he even woke up earlier than normal because he didn't want to miss out on any of the fun. He was so excited to spend time with cousins. We had fun sliding down the slide, swinging on the swing, going on walks, sitting outside, going for quad rides, attending the Groom Creek Annual Chili Cookoff, watching movies, eating lots of great food, and just enjoying nature (and getting out of the heat I might add). Wyatt really had a great time just being outside. He would belly laugh at all the activities mentioned above. He was a little nervous being on the quad but got over his fear and started to laugh. There was one moment on the quad where he got a little scared and grabbed Jason's hand a little tighter than it was before. We really enjoyed Wyatt this trip. He was such a delightful kid the entire time. He would laugh at everyone. He loved playing with his cousins and grandparents. We are so glad that he is such a good kid.

Here are a few pictures we took. Sorry they are so bad. I forgot to pack the camera because I was so worried about forgetting the important stuff like bottles, diapers, and formula. Next trip the camera will be the first thing in the bag.
