Sleep is overrated.
Okay I personally do not believe this but apparently my kids do. All three of them have sleep issues of one kind or another lately. Ugh!
Wyatt has been waking up earlier and earlier. I've referenced the Sleep Bible and he will be going to bed earlier since he isn't really taking naps anymore. He still does on occasion but it's rare, even though we have quiet time daily. I think he has been having too much fun with friends and cousins. But that has saved me many times so I've had to forgo the naps for my well being. So, we will see if it makes a difference.
Elizabeth is just plain overtired. She still is hanging onto 45 minute naps. Yes, I try to put her back to sleep but she won't. She sleeps pretty well at night most nights but the naps are driving me cray cray.
Liam can give me good naps most of the time but will occasionally wake up after 45 minutes (like today). But he wakes up at the CRACK of dawn. I'm actually not sure the exact time he wakes up since I'm exercising but it's pretty close to 6. And depending on how his naps go he has good and bad nights.
Maybe I'm just selfish. I want sleep. I want my kids to sleep. I need my exercise/get ready time. I need to get stuff done during the day. I just want us all to be happy.
But when we are all overtired, patience is pretty thin around here. There are more tantrums, crying, yelling, and just plain bad moods.
We just need more sleep around here. Our house often looks like this. (no pic of Liam because he usually chooses to cry in the car when I can't get picture). And I'm usually wanting to cry or pull hair out.
We are all just plain tired.
