The twins turned 6 months on Thanksgiving. To celebrate we gave them sweet potatoes. We have been doing rice cereal for a week before and decided they should go for the gold!
We made it to 6 months finally! That's when Jason and I start liking babies. :) Here is what they are up to:
Elizabeth
-rolls all over the place.
-sleeps on her tummy
-we CIO with her at naps and she is finally getting better
-has started taking longer naps (1-1 1/2hrs even 2) but unfortunately I have to wake her up after awhile now because Liam now takes 45 min naps. And he is harder to hold off than she is.
-loves to laugh, play with anything new, and smile at anyone. Most of the time she looks at me and says, "Is this person okay to smile at?"
-screams with delight during play time
-HATES baby food. Seriously, she is so stubborn and will not even open her mouth for the life of me.
Liam
-rolled over day before thanksgiving for the first time. He doesn't do it very often though.
-turned into a cat napper again (45 min). I never know when anyone will wake up so I basically don't get anything done because I can't plan. I lie. I do laundry and that's it!
-still goes to sleep like a champ and sleeps right through Elizabeth screaming. But then wakes up 15 min after she falls asleep. Just keepin' it real for you. :)
-is eating baby food fabulous. No problems whatsoever except it makes him a bit clogged up I think. I've offered water in sippy cups to both and they are still getting the hang of it. One day.
Overall we are still hanging in there. We have our bad and good days. We have a schedule just not the exact one I like. But knowing babies they will switch it up really soon. :) Twins are hard to figure out so it is a daily battle of figuring out what works. But they are cute and bring joy into our lives. Wyatt keeps talking about when they grow more that they can do this or that. Can you tell he is desperate for playmates?
We love you, Liam and Elizabeth!
