So, I think the bishopric in our ward do not want us to have kids. We were called to serve in the Nursery in our ward. Today was our first day and let's just say I can't wait until February. It will be challenging for the both of us to not be in Sunday School or Relief Society/Elder's Quorum. I really enjoy getting spiritually uplifted every Sunday. I'm with kids all week long and it is nice to have Sunday to be with some friends that are adults. I guess I'll just have to find other ways to mingle with people my own age. I came home practically in tears and asked Jason, "And we are really spending money on fertility treatments to have children? Why?" We both laughed and said, "Yeah, kids are definitely overrated!"

I am so sorry! I wish they would have put you in primary so I could have seen you...
Thats rough! I'm sorry. I know what you mean about wanting spiritual uplift. Sacrament is really all you got when you're in nursery.
It's so much different when they're your own though. I promise :).
Whats in February? And by the way...its way different when its your own kids. The things that other kids do that drive you bonkers, you will think is the cutest thing in the world when your own does it...YOU'LL SEE!!!!
I just put my son in nursery. It has been three and 1/2 years since I have listened to a lesson without a kid interrupting me so know that your service is well appreciated from the mothers of the kids you will serve. I am loving my ward, I have been there for two months and not a calling, visit teaching calling or visit, home teaching calling or visit, or even bishops get to know you yet. We are staying under the radar I guess. I have not been in relief society my whole married life (7 years next Tuesday!) so I am loving it.
I keep begging to be released from Primary President and put in as nursery leader. I think it's great to play with kids and eat snacks every week! But I know lots of people don't agree with me. :)
