Not sure?

I think I have contracted a disease. I've read all about it and several of my friends have gotten it to. I've heard about when you are pregnant there is a disease called nesting. I've got it BAD!!! The other night I think I got about two hours TOTAL of sleep. Yeah, I was a little mad but I got over it. Yesterday I felt fine but this morning I could have slept the extra six hours I didn't the other night.

I've been thinking about the right nursery items, how to paint the room, etc. I have way too much time on my hands (I realize that) and am ready for school to start so I can start subbing. Jason made the comment, "You are getting bored aren't you?" I think this came from the other day when he came home and part of the furniture was in a different place (thanks to my friend for inspiration and helping). I couldn't move everything due to my disability of not being able to lift heavy things like a piano. So, my house is currently under construction and is driving me crazy. I kept thinking about that as well. Way too many things to think about in my life...hence not being able to sleep.

Here's how it all ran down:

-Bed at 11:15
-Looked at clock at 12 (wondering "What the heck am I still doing awake?"). Went to computer to look a few things up for nursery and right down thoughts so I would stop thinking about it.
-Tried to fall asleep with no luck until 2:45. Decided to go downstairs to watch T.V.
-Nothing on T.V. so turned on a flick that was recorded "Save the Last Dance"
-Couldn't fall asleep to that because guy is too cute in movie
-Started reading book (for sure that that would do trick). Nope! I started yawning so I thought I would try the sleep thing again.
-went upstairs around 4:15. Finally I fell asleep around 4:30 or so and woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed around 6:45-7 or whenever Jason woke up.

I basically ran on fumes yesterday! I think our little boy is preparing me for the months ahead (even though he isn't the reason I was awake). I've only felt little flutterings but nothing that would keep me awake. Maybe I need these nights once in awhile to prepare me for motherhood!

If your experience is anything like mine, you will, unfortunately, have many sleepless nights to come before the baby even arrives. As you get bigger, it's harder and harder to get comfortable. When you finally do, you have to go to the bathroom and that racing mind doesn't slow down much.
The good news is that babies are totally worth it. Congratulations on the pregnancy. You'll love having your little boy!

Holy crap I am laughing b/c I've been there SO many times. The exact same routine, seriously. I surfed for baby stuff like every night for months. I couldn't sleep...ever. My mind would never shut up. When Sage was born, our house had never been more organized!!

I'm just glad that Lisa is done having kids. That whole pregnancy thing can be hard on a man.

I think I have that disease too. Except for it's because McKane and I stay up till 2:30am playing mario kart on the wii every night. It's pretty ridiculous. And has to stop soon.
I think your little boy IS preparing you for the months ahead- you don't get much sleep at all those first few weeks.
