Today, my sweet...okay not so sweet...student that I have known for three days now said he is moving. Allelujah! We will see if it actually happens and he is absent for more than a few days. Honestly, the class that I just inherited for a few weeks is so darling...except for this student whom we will call J. He can be so annoying and VERY disruptive. He is well known amongst the staff and school. I swear I take a toy away from him every hour. I have no clue where he comes up with these toys but his pockets are chuck full of them. Picture a clown car where a lot of clowns keep coming out of nowhere out of a small car. That is J's pocket! So small, yet full of junk!
And might I add, he creates some of the problems that he probably hates me for. As I was taking away one of his toys, he replied, "Fine but you can't take away my Yugio cards in my pocket." You want to make a bet? I knew it would create a problem later so I just confiscated the cards right then. (this is not his first "rookie" move like that). It makes me laugh every time! Oh, and get this. His shirt today said, "I tried to be good but I got bored!" So fitting for him. His mom just couldn't pass that one up.
You better believe what I will be praying for tonight!

Boy you are a mean teacher! Stealing stuff out of a little kids pocket.
Just kidding. There is one in every crowd. In my opinion it is behavior problems at home that carry over to behavior problems at school.
Hi Kate,
Congrats on your new/temporary position. Cute story... gotta love the one that keeps you on your toes!
Maybe we'll run into each other at Dairy Queen again!
