Yesterday while I was feeding Wyatt I heard the music from the ice cream truck. I couldn't help but get a huge grin on my face. Who doesn't smile hearing that music? Memories of scrambling around the house looking for loose change and running to catch up to the ice cream man came flooding back. It was a shame that Wyatt had fallen asleep on me for a few minutes but that was a moment sweeter than cream.
Much to my surprise I heard the music again just as I was about to make dinner. I opened the door and literally waved my arms and yelled, "Stop!" Dinner could wait. I mean how many times does the ice cream man come to your neighborhood? That's what I thought. I don't know how I moved my postpregnancy body so fast but I ran to get my wallet and dart out the front door to look at the truck and make the ever so hard decision of what ice cream to get.
Jason made fun of me because he said I was as giddy as a school girl but, of course, Jason wanted in on the fun. So the rest of the night was spent enjoying our ice cream from the glorious truck...oh and all while watching the Biggest Loser!

I obviously live in the ghetto because the ice cream man comes through my neighborhood twice a day all year long! I have to admit that I've never stopped him for ice cream though...maybe I will have to one of thse days.
thats kind of ironic. eating icecream while watching th bigest loser. My mom never lets us buy icecream from the icecream man. My dad did once. I never really like all those artificially flavored clored frozen things. I like the original vanilla from bryers.
Every week I find myself enjoying fatty foods and ice cream while watching the Biggest Loser as well. That's so funny!
Great post Kate. Can always use a good laugh.
HAHA how true this is. When you hear the ice cream truck music you automatically get excited and happy. This is funny. They always seem to drive too fast tho. Like some kid can run 30 miles an hour. geeze
the ice cream man lives in my neighborhood and he is scarrrry!
devin nicknamed him "Emanuel" (elizabeth smart)
He has other drivers too, women & men, but they are all equally distrurbing.

ps. i ate oreos last night while watching the biggest loser! ;)
Ice cream trucks are full of child molesters and drug dealers.
