Christmas 2010

This year we spent Christmas with Jason's family. We hosted Christmas Eve at our house and we had a blast preparing for it. We got all the tables decked out, fired up sparklers, had music playing, treats galore, and yummy Mexican food. My floor is sticky proof that we had fun!

We had our program made up of the Nativity scene and guitar playing. All the little guys were angels because they wanted to wear the sparkly hats. Notice my little angel.....front and center. Afterwards we did the chime thing and the famous candy bar game. Then the kids played and played, I kept giving updates of where Santa was, and finally everyone went home to hurry to bed before Santa came. Mind you, Wyatt must have known something was up because Santa came and finished before this little guy stopped talking in his crib. Or maybe it was all the candy.

I guess we were nice this year because Santa stopped at our house. Somebody got spoiled! He has had so much fun with all of his "presents." Good thing he has lots of people that love and spoil him rotten. My friend put on her Facebook post that playing Santa gets better and better every year and I couldn't agree more. This year I was so excited and was sad that it had to end. The anticipation is the best part! Christmas morning was fun. After every gift Wyatt would say, "Open, please" so Jason had to open it, Wyatt would play with it for a minute, and finally we could move on to the next present. Loved it! Made the magic last a little longer.

Despite the craziness of Santa, we feel so blessed to have this time of year to reflect on our Savior and all he has done for us. We are truly grateful for His mercy that He shows our family.
