Cookies with Cousins

As one of our 24 Days of Christmas, Wyatt invited some of his cousins over for some cookie decorating. Sprinkles, frosting, and sugar were the name of the game. I think each kid probably ate about 10 cookies each. Oh boy did they have fun! Wyatt didn't even want to waste any time with frosting and decorating the cookies so he just went for the plain cookies. But once he saw how much fun one could have by using the shaker of sprinkles, his plate was covered red. Notice I said the plate! His cookie was still plain as day. Luckily I made a few for him to eat later. And speaking of eating, Avery didn't have one cookie on her plate halfway through because she was too busy eating all of her creations. Too cute!

Can I just say girls and boys are so different. There I said it. All of the boys quickly finished their cookies and were outside as quick as crickets. But Ella and Avery took their time and made each cookie with love. They just kept talking to me and thanking me for this fun time. Hey, it's hard to be a fun mom and aunt but someone's got to do it. I think I need a little, sweet girl to have these "crafty" moments with while the boys play in the dirt.
Here are the finished products (I may or may have not helped out with more than a few):

Isn't it funny. I always have some idea of how I want the project to turn out, and then when the kids start doing their own thing, it never fit with my idea! So I always "help them out!"
